It is true that San Diego has a few skate parks, however there are 56 skate parks throughout San Diego County. San Diego County has some of the largest and best skateparks in SoCal, so you can expect a mix of everything here. The 7 skate parks within the San Diego city limits are great whether you're a native SanDiegan, just moved here, or just passing through.

From 10 a.m. to dusk, the skate park is open
On 22000 square feet of skateable terrain, skaters can find railings, stairs, a 10-foot keyhole, a 90-foot snake run, and a beginners bowl. Skaters of all levels can enjoy the park, where everyone can learn from one another as they share a space.
Those living in Memorial, Barrio Logan, Grant Hill, Logan Heights, Sherman Heights, Stockton, Southcrest, Mount Hope, Mountain View, and Shelltown will benefit most from this park.
The Carmel Valley Skate Park was opened in 2008 and consists of 13500 square feet of skateable area. Urban elements such as railings, stairs, banks, and ledges provide skaters with great tricks. This park, which is unlike many nearby, has night lighting that allows the space to be open after sunset.
You will be able to stay longer with this lighting system, restrooms on-site, a shade structure, and even a non-skating friend to sit and watch while you skate.
Time: 10 am to dusk
It is a park made up of above-ground ramps and rails that covers an area of about 7000 square feet. The park is named for a former councilmember from District 4 who was instrumental in bringing it into being and opening it in 2005. Parents and friends can sit on bleachers to watch the races, but the viewing area seems geared more toward beginner skaters.
You can have picnics here, take a stroll around the park, or even rent equipment (with proper identification, of course.) Skaters can rent helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, and skateboards if necessary.
Linda Vista Skateboard Park
This skate park, located within Linda Vista Community Park, opened in January 2018 and is the largest in San Diego. There are jumps, benches, rails, stairs, ramps, ledges, and banks for skaters of varying abilities. Other attractions include bowling, street courses, a full pipe, and lights.
In addition to serving as the park's focal point, the bridge also serves as a viewing platform for skaters. The observation area and shade structures are also accessible to non-skaters. A citizen-based signature campaign in 2013 led to the creation of this park. Several skaters, professionals, and community members supported the Friends of Linda Vista Skateboard Park campaign.
Located on 19300 square feet, San Diego Park de la Cruz Skate Park made its debut in 2018. Skaters can focus on street plazas with gaps and rails, street plazas with flow features, banks and transition ramps, and flow bowls with spine ramps.
As well as mid-city ramp feature, beginners gap, rail, and backyard-style pool, skaters will also enjoy stairs, ledges, and railings. The parks are equipped with sports and skatepark lighting, as well as seats and viewpoints, so both skaters and non-skaters can enjoy them. Skateboard professionals and residents of City Heights-Mid City collaborated on the design of the project in 2007.
Rancho Penasquitos Skate Park
Rancho Penasquitos Skate Park in Rancho Penasquitos, California, has been renovated and now offers an area of 22000 square feet dedicated to skateboarding. Ramps and street-styled features are popular with skaters, including a four-stair handrail, grinder box, and bank ramp. As well as the high-to-low banked hip, there are double-sided hubba grind ledges, gash banked hips, and an angled Pier 7 manual pad with generous staging/seating.

Robb Field Skate Park
It consists of 40000 square feet of concrete and is designed to meet the needs of skaters of all skill levels, ages, and goals. A street course is designed with a combination bowl, blocks, ledges, handrails, and a pump bump.ipes, a pole jam, and so many other features that will appeal to skaters of all levels.
