WATERFRONT RESTAURANTS IN SAN DIEGO

Old Town San Diego

RESTAURANTS ON THE WATERFRONT IN SAN DIEGO (RESTAURANT GUIDE)

Despite its many attributes, America's Finest City would not be complete without its proximity to the sea. As a coastal city, it is no surprise that there are numerous beaches, boardwalks, water-based activities, and, of course, many restaurant locations located directly on the water. There are so many waterfront restaurants, San Diego bars, and shops with spectacular views that it can be difficult to decide where to begin. Maybe you'd like to try a certain type of food with your view, or maybe you've been dying to visit a particular San Diego area but need recommendations.

Coronado Island Hotel Del Coronado

San Diego Coronado Restaurant Serea

It's no secret that the Hotel Del is one of San Diego's most popular spots. Hotel highlights include past presidents, movie stars, international leaders, and other notable guests. With its stunning location and clean beaches, the Hotel del Coronado offers some of the most beautiful waterfront views in San Diego.

If you intend not to stay at the Hotel Del, you can still experience sitting on the grounds and eating a meal overlooking the ocean without actually staying. The ocean terrace offers a breathtaking view of palm trees, sandy shores, and the ocean, allowing you to enjoy any of the world-class dishes. Serea, Sun Deck, a pizza bar, fish tacos, and more are among the restaurant options. Odds are, if you want it, the Hotel del has it!

For those looking for a quick break during their walk around the island, the island also offers a bar, an ice cream shop, and other smaller bites.

In Point Loma, there is the Bali Hai Restaurant

San Diego Bali Hai Restaurant

San Diego's Shelter Island, a man-made sandbar, has been transformed into a fun, nautical neighborhood in Point Loma with this Polynesian spot. Even though Shelter Island does not really provide a view of the water, it is connected by a strip of land to the larger neighborhoods that surround it.

A circular building with floor to ceiling windows and outdoor seating gives Bali Hai its right on the water atmosphere. While enjoying the views of the North San Diego Bay, enjoy all the fresh seafood your heart desires with some delicious, sweet cocktails. Their brunch program runs from 9:30 am to 2 pm, and their buffet option closes at 2:45 pm, while lunch is available from 11:30 am to 3 pm. The dinner service begins at 4 pm on Sunday and 5 pm the rest of the week, and lasts until 9 pm weeknights and 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

3. Pacific Coast Grill- Cardiff

San Diego Pacific Coast Grill

You can check out the Pacific Coast Grill up in San Diego's North County for lunch, the raw bar, or dinner. This ocean terrace restaurant is located right on the beach, so you can enjoy fresh seafood right on your doorstep. With two levels of bars and patios, it's easy to choose where you want to eat and enjoy the ocean view.

With its wild shrimp dumplings, truffle fries, and steamed mussels as well as oysters on the half shell, Pacific Coast Grill combines fine dining with casual dining. Afterwards, you will be glad that you have an extra appetite after a surf lesson or volleyball match at Cardiff State Beach.

We serve lunch from 11 am to 3 pm, oysters (raw bar) from 3 to 4 pm, and dinner from 4 pm to 8:30 pm (9:30 pm on Friday and Saturday).

4. Brigantine- Downtown

San Diego - Brigantines Downtown

The Brigantine restaurant on Portside Pier offers some of the best seafood on the water while you enjoy seafood pasta, beer battered fish, and other local seafood dishes. Following a visit to the USS Midway Museum or a Farmers Market in Little Italy, it's easy to walk over. In addition to being very close to many downtown hotels, you might not have to uber or take the train to get here.

There is an outdoor seating area, which gives the entire experience of being on the water, and it has a nice atmosphere, without being too fancy. From 11 am to 2:30 pm, we serve lunch, and on Sundays, we serve brunch. The restaurant serves dinner from 4 to 10 pm, and the oyster bar is open until 10 pm daily. The restaurant has other locations in Brigantine, and Point Loma and Imperial Beach are two other San Diego restaurants with waterfront views, especially if you love seafood.

A. Brockton Villa Restaurant at La Jolla Cove

San Diego - Brockton Villa

Offering breathtaking views of La Jolla Cove, Brockton Villa Restaurant is a great place for breakfast and lunch! La Jolla Shores' famous rock formations, sea lions and more can be seen from the beautiful patio open to the water.
